COMPOSITION
Bonnie is an Australian screen composer. She has composed scores for multiple award-winning films, including “White Lies”, which received the award for Best Comedy at the 2024 SydFest Independent Film Festival, and “Stranded”, which was featured in Flickerfest’s “Best of the Best” program in 2025. Her scores have featured on Art Works (ABC), Cartoonito (Cartoon Network), The Great Australian Bake off (Foxtel), and Bill Bailey’s Australian Adventure (ABC). Bonnie recently composed the score to the feature film “Mr Red Bed” (contemporary funk/pop score) which is to be released in 2026.
Bonnie’s music is often described as evocative and nuanced, and she is known for bringing strong musical ideas to projects. In 2024, she was named the School of Creative Arts Alumni Fellow in recognition of her contributions to screen composition.

PERFORMANCE
Bonnie is a classical, contemporary, and jazz trained musician known for her remarkable versatility that allows her to seamlessly transition between any genre of music. She is a featured pianist in The Star Sydney’s VIP area, The Sovereign, and Beckett's restaurant and cocktail bar, and has been a lead and backing vocalist for Cool Nights Big Band, and for her own musical duo, Two of Diamonds. Bonnie has performed at events including Sydney’s Woolworths Carols in the Domain, Stanthorpe’s Opera in the Vineyard, and Toowoomba’s Triple M Mayoral Carols by Candlelight. She has performed at venues including Toowoomba’s Empire Theatre, the Brisbane Jazz Club, and the Toowoomba Jazz Club, and at the end of 2023, was a featured pianist and vocalist at Chifley Tower and Aurora Place in Sydney’s CBD, performing daily as part of their Christmas entertainment.
Alongside performing as a solo artist, Bonnie has worked with ensembles such as the Toowoomba Concert Orchestra and has traveled to perform as part of the orchestra for the Australian Beatles Show. She has also been the keyboardist for Eurovision- Australia decides competitor Jude York. Bonnie has played a lead keyboard and répétiteur role in musical productions including Les Misérables, Grease, Shrek, Peter Pan.
Bonnie’s extensive musical knowledge, experience, and dedication to her craft, has earned her recognition and acclaim in Australia. She is a sought-after musician who leaves an everlasting mark on listeners through her personal warmth and charm, and she continues to inspire and delight audiences with her exceptional talent and passion for music.

ACADEMIA
Bonnie completed her Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ) in 2022. She was awarded a USQ Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarship to complete her studies. Bonnie's research explored the creative identities of private piano teachers, and the ways in which their creative identities influence their teaching practices. During her candidature, Bonnie presented at numerous conferences including the Australasian Piano Pedagogy Conference and the Australasian Jazz Improvisation Research Network Conference. She was an author for the Piano Teacher Magazine and is currently contributing to a handbook of piano pedagogy that is to be published in 2024.
Bonnie was recently awarded the 2024 School of Creative Arts Fellowship at UniSQ.
